Most ‘smart’ regulators are lead acid oriented with some sort of a cludge for lithium batteries. With a good BMS, you need only to apply sufficient voltage and current to the battery and let ‘er rip. Obviously things need to be in reasonable bounds and temps monitored, but there is no need for multi-stage charging. Are you aware of any external regulators designed for lithium only? - Steve
Thanks for reaching out. We work with Wake-speed regulators for this purpose, they can be networked with Victron’s smart LiFeP04 battery systems and Lithionics too.
Large range of configurability makes these an excellent for lithium batteries. http://www.wakespeed.com
