I have two flooded L/A batteries in parallel each rated by the manufacturer at 122Ah. Since full discharge of a flooded battery is 50%, does this mean I really only have 122 Ah usable with two batteries in the bank? Thanks. - Will from Michigan
Hi Will, that’s correct, if you don’t want to prematurely wear down your batteries with deep discharges, you should NOT empty your flooded lead acid battery below 50% of capacity. Since you have two 122 amp-hour batteries in parallel for a total of 244 amp-hours, 50% of capacity is 122 amp-hours. - Jeff
