Ken lives in Alberta and keeps Rain Dancer 2, his 28-foot Uniflite, on the coast. The boat was new when he bought it, and it needed a new electronic system. “The lower helm was completely useless,” he says. He found PYS through their website and arranged everything by telephone and email.
PYS installed the new navigation system—“Garmin GHP10 autopilot, GSD 22 sounder, GMR 18 radar, and Garmin 4012 MFD, all that good stuff,” quips Ken—throughout the winter and spring. PYS kept him up to date and emailed images of the work as it progressed. Ken says he found “a complete transformation” when he saw the new system for the first time. With a large 4 X L16 battery bank, he can go out on the water three or four days in a row without hesitation.
"PYS checks our boat throughout the winter," states Ken, who lives in Alberta. "He makes sure the batteries are plugged in and charging, and he’s always in contact. It gives us peace of mind when we’re so remote."
Ken also relies on PYS to arrange other types of work for his boat, such as fiberglassing or mechanical work. “He’s a great resource,” he says.
