Duart recently purchased Thea, a 1972 Grand Banks 32, with some dated equipment and systems, as well as a malfunctioning chartplotter.
Duart contacted Pacific Yacht Systems, who diagnosed the plotter issues and updated the boat's electrical system by installing a new AC panel and a new circuit breaker for the windlass. Although this was a simple job, Duart appreciated PYS’ willingness to explain every step of the process.
" I’ve always enjoyed working with people who are willing to explain their work," says Duart, former editor of Pacific Yachting magazine. "It helps you make decisions, and it means you learn a lot about your boat. I’m learning as I go."
