Kannad Safelink R10 SRS Personal AIS

The SafeLink R10 SRS, the first of its kind, is a personal AIS device designed to be fitted to a lifejacket. The R10 is activated manually, and can become semi-automatic as lifejacket inflation triggers activation, assisting in man overboard recovery. The R10 transmits target information including alert messages and a serialised identity number to the onboard plotter. A high precision GPS receiver provides accurate position information for quick recovery of survivors transmitting for a minimum of 24 hours for a four mile radius.
