Icom MXA-5000 AIS Receiver

The Icom MXA-5000 AIS Receiver increases vessel safety by allowing the user to monitor vessel traffic. It monitors Class A and Class B data from other vessels and sends that data to your chartplotter to view on-screen. You will be able to access and view information like vessel call sign, name, MMSI number, vessel dimensions, vessel type, voyage information and navigation information. All you need is a NMEA compatible chartplotter, VHF radio and a VHF antenna, and you are set. The Icom MXA5000 has two data outputs to allow for a wider array of applications. The RS-422 connection can connect to radar or a GPS chartplotter, while the RS-232 port is for connection to a PC.
