March 11 – Basic Marine Electrical with Jeff Cote sponsored by the Vancouver Chapter of Bluewater Cruising.  This is a course for sailors who want to have a good understanding of their boat's electrical system.  We will talk electrical theory, look at all the key electrical components, circuits and even troubleshoot electrical problems using a multi meter.   The goal is to work towards self-sufficiency and to develop students' ability to find and resolve basic electrical problems.  The course runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Vancouver Maritime Museum.  For more information vaneducation@bluewatercruising.org

March 15 to March 30 - Easter Train in Stanley Park

Hop on by for a fun filled day including a ride on the miniature train, egg hunts, crafts, games and a Bunny Ear workshop. There will be face painting by donation as well. The train is fully covered, protecting everyone onboard from spring showers. 

Remember to bring your own basket for the egg hunt.

 

March 16 - St. Patrick's Day Parade 

The 10th annual event features thousands of participants, including marching pipe and drum bands, Celtic music groups, acrobats, drill teams, and Irish and Scottish youth dance groups. The parade will start at Howe and Davie, proceeds north on Howe to Georgia, and ends at Georgia and Granville. Part of CelticFest Vancouver.
