Decorated boats will be marshalling off the White Rock pier for the 'Lights On' at 5:00 pm and will make two passes by the pier. Come by and watch this great spectacle of lights on the water! Best viewing at the end of the White Rock Pier.

This annual Christmas tradition began more than 50 years ago in Coal Harbour with one boat decorated with Christmas lights. Today, more than 50 boats festooned with 100,000-plus twinkling lights can be seen gliding through Vancouver's waterways on peak evenings.

Join the Vancouver Aquarium for an insightful presentation on the behaviour of harbour porpoises, Phocoena phocoena.  Harbour porpoises are small cetaceans that are quite common along the coast of British Columbia, yet very little is known about their behaviour.

 

Sunday, November 16th - Hyde Creek Salmon Festival

Top Ocean Wise chefs compete head-to-head in for the title of 2014 Ocean Wise Chowder Chowdown Champion: Vancouver. The Honda Celebration of Light is not only Vancouver's biggest event,  but it's also the largest offshore fireworks competition in the world and attracts up to 400,000 spectators along English Bay each evening. The show will kick off right at 10:00PM on each night of the event, and each show will last 25 minutes.

Hop on by for a fun filled day including a ride on the miniature train, egg hunts, crafts, games and a Bunny Ear workshop. There will be face painting by donation as well. The train is fully covered, protecting everyone onboard from spring showers. 

Remember to bring your own basket for the egg hunt.

 

March 16 - St. Patrick's Day Parade 

The 10th annual event features thousands of participants, including marching pipe and drum bands, Celtic music groups, acrobats, drill teams, and Irish and Scottish youth dance groups. The parade will start at Howe and Davie, proceeds north on Howe to Georgia, and ends at Georgia and Granville. Part of CelticFest Vancouver.
